EVENT UPDATE: Pimms and Posh Frocks success
Grateful thanks to Jacob & Harriet Potts and to Peter & Christine Job for acting as hosts and opening their homes for our Pimms & Posh Frocks Party on 12 September 2015. We started at Ivy House, recently bought and refurbished by Jacob and Harriet and then moved on to The Old Vicarage next door. Ivy House was the home of Dick Stuckey and Elizabeth Suter until their recent deaths and was the vicarage before then and before it moved to the Job’s house for a while before moving again and again.
Jacob & Harriet were able to show what they have done in refurbishing and extending their home while Peter & Christine Job were proud to show their extensive and beautifully maintained gardens.
Some 40 guests were present and enjoyed nibbles, Pimms and wine while exploring these two old village houses. The evening was hugely successful, thanks to the warm welcome of our hosts, not to forget the warming effect of Pimms and wine and some very kind summer weather!
We are planning a Posh Frocks Party for the summer of 2016 and will announce details when we have identified the lucky house owner who will act as host! Financially, the event was extremely successful thanks in part to the generosity of a few individuals.
